Biography

April Polk was born and raised in Chicago, IL where she attended Tinley Park High School. A stellar scholar and remarkable athlete, April graduated with honors and relocated to Columbus, OH to attend The Ohio State University. It was there that she developed a love for Marketing. April graduated in 2006 in which she obtained her B.A in Marketing Communications. Still feeling to need to excel, April went on to obtain her master’s degree in Business Administration from Ohio Dominican University.

After working for a few prestigious Fortune 500 companies, April launched her own boutique marketing firm in 2012 which strives to help small business owners with various digital marketing needs as well as developing their businesses. Through this company, April has partnered with the Franklin County Youth Lemonade Festival, a county-wide initiative that strives to promote entrepreneurship to children ages 5 – 18. She also volunteers with the Youth Entrepreneurship Academy and teachers aspiring entrepreneurs about business basics, social media management, and digital marketing.

April hopes to use her educational background and personal career experiences to help all of her future students grasp and excel in the field of digital marketing!
