Biography
I am Farhad Malek-Asghar from San Francisco, California and I was born in a family of diplomats. During my young age, I lived in Poland (Warsaw), France (Paris), and India (Delhi) for 4 years in each country, where I had to learn different languages and their cultures. I also drove with my parents from Poland Warsaw to Eastern European countries to Turkey, where we explored additional culture and traditions. This trip took us approximately three months, but it was worth it to see how other folks in the world live and what is important to them. After finishing my High School in France and United Stated, I pursue a degree in Information Technology and Computer Science at San Jose State and Golden Gate University, where I obtained my B.S and M.S. While I was studying, I was working full time in Information Technology field. I have to admit that working full time and studying was quite a challenge, but it helped me to apply the course works to a real corporate environment and vice versa. For the past 25 years, I have been working in the different sections of competitive information technology fields and currently, I am working at a private sector as DBA(Leader Senior Database Administrator) where I manage corporate databases, architect databases, and provide guidance to developer and management team. In my spare time, I spend time with my wife and daughters to do fun activities: such as visiting different bay area beaches, San Francisco, and hiking at Berkeley hills.
